If you’re no Usain Bolt on the track or no Rebecca Adlington in the pool then don’t worry because you can still get involved in the London Olympics by volunteering as a 2012 Games Maker…
London 2012 are looking for people from different backgrounds and communities from across the UK to volunteer as Game Makers. If you’re energetic, enthusiastic and want to be at the heart of the largest event staged in the country then volunteering at the London Olympic Games is a fantastic opportunity.
If you’re chosen as a volunteer, then get ready for lots of hard work – you could be doing anything from working behind the scenes to being exposed to the elements by working outside. A truly wonderful and valuable experience, volunteering as a 2012 Games Maker will allow you to lean new skills, meet new people and be involved in this historic sporting event.
Games Makers will be provided with a free uniform, free meals and free travel on public transport to get you to and from work – but don’t expect any free passes or tickets to the actual events
For more information or to apply to be a London 2012 Games Maker, just go to www.london2010.com/volunteering to fill out an application form.
